The Chester Hotel is a luxury hotel on Aberdeen's Queens Road, located just a 20-minute walk from the city centre.
With 72 individually designed luxurious bedrooms and suites you can enjoy fine dining in the stylish IX Restaurant or a refreshing drink in the lively Gallery Bar.
Within hitting distance of some of the country’s top courses and The Chester Hotel, keeping Scotland’s weather in mind, offers a drying room, while also has dedicated storage for your clubs and other equipment.
With some of Scotland’s most challenging courses right on Chester's doorstep, your range to golf nirvana is more of a short putt than long drive. From the world class links course at Royal Aberdeen, Murcar, Cruden Bay to Trump International Golf Links.
Aberdeen's courses are beautiful, but don’t take that to mean that they're all style over substance. Walk on the fairways here and you’ll be following in the footsteps of the likes of James Braid and Old Tom Morris who designed some of these courses with incredible precision and eye for detail.
CHESTER HOTEL GUEST ROOMS
Thinking about what features you would like to see in your ultimate hotel bedroom? Well, these luxurious touches and a whole lot more come as standard when you step over the threshold of The Chester Hotel. There are 66 bedrooms, all designed in the Chester signature contemporary style, and many featuring stunning, original period features. And if that wasn’t enough, there are three simply stunning suites that amp up the opulence to ridiculous levels.
Regardless of the room or suite you decide to take up residence in during your stay, you’ll be guaranteed to envelope yourself in design-led surroundings, make like a starfish in 300-thread count Egyptian cotton bed linens, lay your head on plumped up plush pillows, get yourself smelling sweet with toiletries from Noble Isle and make yourself a complimentary coffee with the Nespresso machine.
During your stay you’ll also enjoy free WiFi – which is complimentary in all areas of the hotel - state-of-the-art in-room technology, and the latest entertainment systems.
Classic Room
Petite compared to others in the hotel, but they certainly punch above their weight in terms of space and in-room amenities. They offer all of the great facilities that are a hallmark of The Chester Hotel, and don’t compromise on luxury, comfort or style.
Classic rooms – all with a double bed - are ideal for single travellers visiting the Granite City on a business trip or on a solo exploration of this beautiful part of Scotland. However, they are also perfect for couples who want to cocoon themselves in a little luxury while taking a break from Aberdeen’s visitor attractions, shops and vibrant social scene.
Grand Room
Spacious and airy, the Grand has been designed with maximum comfort in mind. If you’re on a business trip lasting several nights, then you’ll love the space that this super king provides. However, if you are travelling in a couple but aren’t actually a couple, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Grand also comes in a twin room set-up so ideal for golfers.
Club Room
Stunning. Contemporary. Timeless. Just three words that could be used to describe our decadent Club rooms. Spacious and luxurious, they’re one of our most-requested room types.
Climb the impressive staircase of our original 19th century mansion house and feel like king of the castle in one of our top floor Club rooms, or venture into one of our newest additions which stylishly blend modern design with period features.
From private patios to floor-to-ceiling windows to family rooms which take over an entire floor, each Club room has something that makes it truly unique and unlike any other hotel room.
Appreciate the stunning views to the south of the city while relaxing on the comfy seats or soak away the day’s stresses in a luxurious bath or separate rainfall shower. Bliss.
Accessible Room
The Chester Hotel is housed within interconnecting 19th century mansions and during the extensive renovation of the property, great care was taken to ensure the building was accessible for those with limited mobility. The accessible rooms are all Grand rooms, offering wider doors and additional space around the bed which can comfortably accommodate a wheelchair. You’ll find a range of features for your comfort, including lower-fitted light switches and plugs, wet room bathrooms with a seat for showering and support rails.
CHESTER BAR & RESTAURANTS
The contemporary IX Restaurant is the star of the culinary show. The fine dining venue has enjoyed praise and plaudits and plenty of awards, including two AA Rosettes. We’re friendly, not fussy. Elegant, not posh. Put simply, the IX Restaurant experience is a special one, but not one that should be reserved for special occasions.
If a more relaxed dining experience is your thing, then you’ll make a perfect match with The Gallery. The bar is a lively and vibrant space where the cocktails flow and exceptional bar food is served. Bar classics and tandoor specialities are all given a unique Chester twist, whether you’re enjoying them indoors or in our new outdoor area.
