The 26 Superior rooms situated in the newer section at this Mayo manor house hotel ooze quality. Woodland Lodges 
The three bedroom detached sandstone lodges, are located in the middle of a mature forest with an original James Franklin Fuller designed water tower as a main feature. Each lodge has an open plan design with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and a master bedroom on the first floor all of which are ensuite. Underground heating makes these lodges warm and cosy. A natural stone chimney is the main feature in the open plan design and adds to the atmosphere created by the ” Swiss Cottage ” feel to The Woodland Lodges. All kitchens in The Woodlands are compact and fully fitted with electric cooker and oven, fridge / freezer, dish washer, twin Belfast sinks, microwave, washer / dryer, plates, bowls, cutlery, pots and pans.

ORCHARD CAFE 
The Orchard Café is a wonderful new addition this Summer. The café is situated in the open-air heated bamboo tent on the lawn with several tables al fresco. Surrounded by the beautiful lush trees of Mount Falcon you will be able to enjoy head chef, Tom Doyle’s new summer menu featuring the best of fresh local produce. The café will open for breakfast and serve until late afternoon with a stone baked pizza menu available all day.  The menu at the Café will also be available to take away whether you want to retreat to your lodge or take a picnic to the river. For a little indulgence, pastry chef Corina will have an array of homemade pastries, tarts and scones.

TOMS GRILL
Dining this summer will be hosted in the new open-air bamboo tent on the lawn. Tom Doyle (Head chef) will be cooking BBQ alfresco on the assador grill every night.

FALCONERY
The ancient tradition of Falconry, which has been handed down through the generations for over 4000 years, is the art of hunting with birds of prey. At Mount Falcon Estate, Ballina. Co. Mayo,  you can enter into this world with resident Falconers who will personally introduce you to the various birds of prey on display. Experience a Hawk Walk and share in the secrets of the birds hunting habits and their place in the ecosystem. A lesson in this ancient husbandry will be completed with a walk through the magical woodlands Estate which is situated in Ballina in Co. Mayo. Experience the magnificence of a Harris hawk in its natural environment.

CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
Set within the grounds, beside the private stretch of the River Moy, is the Mount Falcon Clay Pigeon Shooting Ground. The layout consists of 4 automatic traps, which provide overhead, going away and crossing targets. It is also possible to set the system up to provide a random flush of 25 or 50 birds, to truly test the skill and reflexes of the gun.
