Open Championship venues such as Royal Troon is less than 10 minutes away, Prestwick Golf Club, birthplace of the Open is 20 minutes by car, while Turnberry is a 40 minute drive.
There are many other quality courses in the area, including Irvine (Bogside) Golf Club and Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club, not to mention the many public courses such as Darley, Lochgreen and Fullarton in Troon or Belleisle in Ayr.
